Abstract

The paper presents the results of a research project whose aim was the efficiency improvement in industrial three-phase induction motors, making use die cast copper rotor cage and premium electrical steel. The study concerns with industrial low voltage three-phase induction motors, 4 pole, 50 Hz, 400 V, TEFC, in the 0.75÷22 kW power range. The results are related to the first step of the project, when a premium steel and copper rotor cage have been used instead of standard steel and aluminium cage.
